Topic: Emotional/Mental Health Resources during School Closure
Dealing with COVID-19 can be stressful. Humans are social creatures. We are not accustomed to social distancing. Staying at home, not visiting with family and friends, not sending our children to school are all foreign concepts for all of us, including our students. Your family may also be dealing with a sick family member, an essential worker who is unable to stay home, a loss of finances etc. This is a difficult situation for everyone, adults and children.
To assist your family with your emotional/mental health, we have reached out to our school counselors and school psychologists to provide you with resources to assist your family during this stressful time.
On their pages you may find a video on mindfulness, resources to deal with your student’s anxiety, tips to help control your stress etc. We invite you to visit their webpages for important information and resources. Feel free to explore any or all of their pages.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
