On Friday, May 16, during severe storms, lightning struck the high school roof above the gymnasium. Administration, custodial, and maintenance staff responded immediately, and the Fire Department and the Upper Saucon Township Police Department conducted safety assessments. The roof sustained minor damage, prompting immediate temporary repairs. There was no structural or electrical damage, and the building remained fully powered and operational. Students and staff were able to remain safely inside with minimal to no disruption. A comprehensive inspection is scheduled for Monday to determine the scope of permanent repairs. We extend our thanks to these emergency response teams and all district staff for their swift, coordinated actions.

8th grade students learned the difference between the popular vote and the Electoral College vote. Using the candidates, Coke vs. Pepsi, students cast ballots to track the popular vote but then tallied the votes in accordance to the states they represent in the Electoral College.
