Welcome to Mrs. Rice's 2016-17 Webpage
1. Spelling test dates will be on the spelling list. It will come home the day after your child's test.
***This week's says 10/7 and we are off on 10/7. We will test 10/6!
2. The webpage format might change this year. I will keep you posted if/when it does.
3. Spelling City is up and running for all of the students in our class.
I have a link here at my webpage or you can go to the students' page of the school district's site and access Spelling City from there. Enjoy! We will continue to use it at school.
The assignments do not have names as to spelling, high frequency words, or target vocabulary. You will see three assignments. If it says ten activities it is spelling. High frequency words have four activities. Target vocabulary have 6 activities.
4. There are many sites we will be using this year to support our curriculum and to meet the diverse needs of our learners. I have links to all of the sites at my webpage. They are also available at the students page of the Solehi website.
I am hoping to send home login reminders by the beginning of October so your student can
explore them at home as well.
5.Thank you for notifying me about absences and whether or not you would like to pick up homework or have it sent home with a friend/relative.
It is also best to copy in case I am ever out and cannot get the sub your message.
I appreciate your support!
Educational trip forms for non-illness absences are available at the Liberty Bell site or the parents tab on the Southern Lehigh site.
6. *BOOK ORDERS:
If you would like to order from Scholastic....I send them home in paper form with the due date stamped on them. You may also order online. Feel free to order up to the due date online or by sending a check (made out to Scholastic Book Clubs) attached to the paper order form into school. Ordering online saves me a lot of time if you are able to utilize that option.
I will receive all of the books ordered at school and then send the books home with your chlld.
