Tiered Level of Supports

One of the first steps for the mental health task force was to begin to summarize our resources, supports, and services that are currently being implemented in our schools (see triangle below). This was a needed first step to determine what other supports and services our district could provide.


Tier 1- supports and services for all students - what all students could benefit from- these are preventative supports


Tier 2- some students may need some additional supports and services - these are other services that a student may receive


Tier 3- these are intensive intervention and supports - some students may need specialized supports and services - these are considered when Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports were not enough of a support
