• The Southern Lehigh Community

Southern Lehigh School District lies on the southern edge of the Lehigh Valley. Its 48 square miles includes Coopersburg Borough, Upper Saucon Township, and Lower Milford Township. Located one hour north of Philadelphia, and two hours west of New York, the Lehigh Valley offers a mix of urban, suburban and rural environments.  The area is know for its colleges and universities, healthcare providers, arts and entertaninment offerings, sports teams, museums and cultural venues, and expanding manufacturing, warehousing, services, and technology businesses.

The Southern Lehigh School District plays a significant role in the community. The schools encourage parents, guardians, and residents to participate in many ways, including classroom visitations, open houses, community projects, musical and dramatic performances, and athletic competitions. A concerted and coordinated effort is made by the schools and the community to work closely together to provide children with multifaceted opportunities.

As the community reflects its values in its strong support of quality education for its children, the school district in turn serves the community in providing the vehicle for educational excellence.
